25th Anniversary Congress
EMN 2020 Salzburg
I would like to welcome you to the 25th Anniversary Congress of the Euroacademia Multidisciplinaria Neurotraumatologica.
It is a great honor to host the most influential international gathering of neuroscientists, specialists for Neurorehabilitation, neurologists and neurosurgeons to the beautiful ambience of the lake of Fuschl close to the city of Salzburg. I choosed this location in order to create a certain conference atmosphere, but also we will have the chance to see the city of Salzburg and some attraction there during our congress.
The 25th Anniversary will be the most significant event in the EMN-Calendar, a time when our organization can discuss and review what has achieved over the last 25 years, and a time to make key-decisions about how we should proceed in the future. Our world is changing very rapidly, especially of the realm of technology.
The scientific program which has been organized for this European Congress includes lectures which address the most advanced developments in the field of trauma research and clinical work, for injury to Neurorehabilitation. This Multidisciplinary will take place in honor of Professor Hans-Erich Diemath and his 90th Birthday and under the patronage of the Governor of the Country of Salzburg, Mr. Dr. Wilfried Haslauer and under the auspices of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.
On behalf of the Organising committee, I wish you all a stimulating and unforgettable time in the region of Salzburg in Austria. May this congress lead to stronger friendships, inspirations and new international connections in the mission of our medical calling!

Dear friends and colleagues,
it is my privilege and a great honor to invite you all to the 25th EMN Congress, Anniversary Edition, in Salzburg, the city of Mozart. We couldn’t celebrate 25 years of EMN in a more charming place than the one of the Sound of Music.
From the very beginning, I would like to express my gratitude to our President of the Congress, prof. Peter A. Winkler, for his extraordinary efforts to offer the most appropriate place for our Anniversary Edition, the Sheraton Fuschlsee, Hof bei Salzburg. The coordinates which stood at the forefront of the foundation of EMN, namely Collaboration, Science and Friendship (CSF) on a ground of multilateral and multidisciplinary approach made it possible for us to reconvene each year with uninterrupted continuity for 25 years now.
As it was stated by the founders of EMN, there is no other way in modern medicine than multidisciplinary collaboration, searching for solutions together, research, education and development in multidisciplinary teams. Beyond professional collaboration, this academy offers the chance of establishing long-lasting friendships, which grants EMN a particular place, confers it a certain individuality in the landscape of international academic societies. And for this, I can only be grateful towards the founders and also all the members of this Academy. Let’s celebrate together the 25th Aniversary EMN Congress!
Prof. Dr. Ioan Stefan Florian
President of EMN
